Set up

Steps

To get started, clone the repo from here [demo Github repo].

Then navigate to the e2e_unified directory and run:

bin/start.sh

You will then have to wait a couple of minutes; your wait will be larger the more images you have to download. Once all the images are downloaded the services are ran.

From your terminal logs you will see real-time data populating the customers, branches, and transactions topics:

Shadowtraffic

The Kafka data for this demo is provided by Shadowtraffic: a data generator service which simulates customisable, real-time data for data-streaming applications. More details on Shadowtraffic can be found at shadowtraffic.io.

You'll know that set up has completed with these concluding lines:
